The following supplementary terms and conditions apply in conjunction with the Treatment Contract for Midwifery Services and specify the arrangements made therein regarding service provision and cooperation.

1. Appointments are generally arranged via SMS or messenger services (e.g., WhatsApp, Signal). The insured person will be informed of this upon first contact.

4. The insured person is requested to attend in-person appointments at the practice whenever possible, as these are more efficient and of higher quality for both parties.
1. Telephone consultations constitute a billable service and must be confirmed in writing by the insured person.
2. Reimbursement for telephone consultations by statutory health insurance is limited. The midwife reserves the right to privately invoice costs incurred for frequent telephone consultations in accordance with § 2 para. 7 of the Treatment Contract, insofar as these are not covered by the health insurance.
3. For quality reasons, the midwife prefers in-person appointments at the practice or home visits within the postpartum period and requests that the insured person only use telephone consultations in justified exceptional cases.
1. Scheduled appointments are binding. The insured person undertakes to keep scheduled appointments or to cancel them in good time.
2. A cancellation is considered timely if it is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
3. In the event of short-notice cancellation (less than 24 hours before the appointment) or failure to attend without cancellation, a cancellation fee of €60.00 will be privately invoiced in accordance with § 2 para. 6 of the Treatment Contract.

5. The cancellation fee serves to compensate for the midwife's loss of income, as appointments cancelled at short notice generally cannot be reassigned.
1. Participation in courses (e.g., birth preparation courses) may partially incur costs, particularly for the participation of partners or accompanying persons.
2. The costs for the insured person's own participation are generally covered by statutory health insurance. Costs for partners or accompanying persons must be paid privately as these are not included in the statutory health insurance benefit catalogue.
3. The amount of course fees will be communicated transparently before the course begins. Course fees for partners must be paid before the course starts.
4. No refund for non-attendance: Should the partner or accompanying person be unable to attend on the course day or be unable to participate for other reasons, there will be no refund of the course fee already paid. This also applies in cases of:
5. The insured person will be expressly informed of this regulation before the course begins and confirms, by registering and/or paying the course fee, that she has taken note of it.
1. The midwife is entitled to vacation and rest periods. Planned absences will be communicated to the insured person in good time.
2. The midwife endeavors to ensure coverage by qualified colleagues during her absence. However, substitute coverage cannot be guaranteed in every case.
3. In the event of substitute coverage, the insured person will be informed about the substitute midwife and will receive their contact details.

2. Amendments and supplements to these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing.
3. Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
By signing the Treatment Contract, the insured person confirms that she has read, understood, and accepted these supplementary General Terms and Conditions. In particular, she confirms:

Note: These supplementary Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction with the Treatment Contract for Midwifery Services and apply only in connection with it. In the event of any contradiction between the Contract and the Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the Treatment Contract shall prevail.
